Keep Lips in Tip Top Shape with These Makeup Artist Products

Want to know the makeup artist secret behind those sexy pouts Hollywood starlets are famous for?
It all starts with keeping your lips healthy. Once you've done that, the rest is easy!
Here are a few tips on makeup artist products to keep your lips looking great. Doesn't that make you want to smile?
First, condition your lips with a satiny lip balm. If you get into the habit of putting on balm each night before you go to bed, you'll see healthier lips no matter what the season. Makeup artists often use balm before applying other lip products to keep lipstick from feathering.
Once that's done, the next makeup artist product you'll want to apply is lip pencil. To make this step goof proof, use a flesh-toned pencil to gently trace the outside lines of your lips. This will give you a guide for where to put your lip color.
Finally, finish off the look with a bit of gloss - it's the makeup artist secret for making lips look fuller.
If the fuller lip look intrigues you, try a lip plumper. As makeup artist products go, lip plumpers are a desirable alternative to expensive, temporary cosmetic injectables like collagen.
The majority of these formulas are made from a blend of ingredients including cayenne pepper. With names like "lip venom" or "pout", many of these labels hint at the stinging sensation these plumpers sometimes cause.
If you're willing to put up with the burn, you'll get slightly puffed up lips in return. You can reapply the serum as much or as little as you want to maintain the look.
Simply apply your regular lip products over top.
Finally, when you're ready to take your lip look off for the night, do it gently. This is especially important to remember if you've chosen to use a lip plumper.
The skin on your lips is super sensitive and all that tugging with water and soap can lead to peeling and irritation. Instead, use makeup artist products like petroleum jelly, cold cream, or baby oil.
Simply swipe on a bit of your preferred remover with a cotton ball and rinse off with water. Follow up with a swipe of a rich lip balm (preferably one with a built-in SPF) and you're ready for bed.
And if that means kissing someone good night, you can bet they'll enjoy those super soft lips of yours!

Do you think being a makeup artist is a respectable job?
I've always been interested in cosmetics and been thinking about getting a job as a makeup artist. The thing is that pretty much everyone expects me to aim for a "better" job because they think makeup artists are dumb, materialistic women. What do you think?
I don't think they are materialistic. wearing make up is for enhancing beauty not covering it up. I want to go to college to be a cosmetologist mainly doing nails and maybe make up. I'm sure there are many "better" jobs out there to do but I do what I love and love what I do and I'd rather spend my life doing something that makes me happy and builds up others than doing something I'm going to hate and regret. Cause doing women's make up and nails and even hair builds them up and makes them feel better about themselves. I say if you have a dream go for it!
