Liquid Mineral Make Up vs Mineral Powder Makeup - Which One Is Best?
Liquid mineral foundation is an ideal choice for when you want your facial foundation to blend and provide more coverage. You can get the benefits of clear skin from the minerals, along with not having to worry about getting the loose powder everywhere.
I have dry skin, so I tend to shy away from traditional powdered mineral foundation make up kits like Bare Escentuals. I like the flawless look, but I need the moisturizer to provide the balance and shine that my skin craves.
Traditional mineral makeup is a trend that may just be around for a while. This kind of makeup is usually made from finely ground all natural minerals. It's nice because you can avoid a lot of the preservatives and chemicals usually found in makeup makeup.
It can be a little more expensive than liquid makeup, and you can generally find it ranging in price from $10 to $50. A couple of the more affordable liquid facial foundation makeups include Ulta Minerals Liquid Makeup ($14.00), and Maybelline Mineral Powder Liquid Foundation ($1 – $4). I like that they blend well, are good matches for skin tone, and offer full coverage.
Regular mineral foundation in powder form is easy to apply with a wide brush and loose powder, you use a swirling motion to evenly brush the powder across your face. The look is iridescent and long lasting.
If you are sensitive to regular makeup, mineral foundation just might be a good change of pace for you. If you have dry skin, are concerned about wrinkles and fine lines, a liquid mineral foundation might be a better formula for you. I have also read that some mineral makeups have a calming effect on the skin, and are wonderful for skin conditions like acne or rosacea.
It's good for cover up too because it won't irritate the skin as much. You can trust that this type of make-up will protect you from the sun's rays too. Generally mineral foundation make up has a minimum SPF factor of 15. You will want to double check your make-up bottle for this information. It's really just personal preference for choosing between a powder mineral make-up, and a liquid mineral cosmetic foundation.
I like the powder for light dusting, and getting that pretty golden glow. If you have oily skin, the powder makeup foundation might just be the right mix for you. But I prefer the liquid for everyday use because it adds that special moisture to my skin, heightening the glow, it is longer lasting too.

What brush should I use to apply mineral veil?
I am about to purchase Bare Escentuals Mineral veil. What type of brush should I use to apply this to my face? A kabuki brush? A buffering brush? An airbrush? Also, any recommendations on the brand of the brush? Thank you.
You don't want a heavy cover of mineral veil. I suggest the flawless face brush by Bare Minerals rather than the kabuki brush.
