What is wet eyeshadow, please?
I've been browing along the web for tips on eyeshadows when I came across something called wet eyeshadow. Exactly what is wet eyeshadow and how do you put it on? Like, do you buy it or do you make it from dry eye shadow? Do you just wet the brush and then dip it in the dry eyeshadow? Won't it ruin the small circle of eyeshadow then (if it is wet?) A really detailed answer, please. I'm really curious. Thank so much!
Does the wetness damage the brush in any way?
Wet eyeshadow can be created using a brush or sponge if you just wet it first, then dip it into your eyeshadow. It doesn't harm anything to do this, and the purpose is to make the color of your eyeshadow bolder.
Cream eyeshadows are also available from a variety of brands, sometimes they come in a tube and sometimes as a stick (similar to a lipstick). You can apply this with your fingers or a sponge or brush, but it's best to use one with a primer (which you can buy at Sephora.com, just search for primer) so that your eyeshadow does not wear off or crease.
quick question about makeup??
okay, so i know how to do my makeup but by the middle of the day the eyeshadow that is on my upper lid falls onto area below the eye, making it look unclean, and even if i wash it off in the bathroom, than it takes off all the concealer that conceals my bags, i tried eyeshadow that like dries on, like the wet application, it usually looks cakey. i cant get anything right now, i was wondering if anyone had any simple tips to help keep it on with out making it look cakey and w/o going out and buying something spendy?
Some shadows have the tendency to do this especially darker colors such as black. It may be that it occurs as you are applying it but shows up more during the middle of the day as your makeup is wearing off. Makeup artists say its good to put loose powder all under the eye area as you put on shadow so that any unsettling ones can be brushed off right after.
I would also suggest you trying to wet your shadow brush a bit before applying it so that the color can stick more. This won't work for smokey eyes though.
Dabbing some concealer on your actual lid and not just underneath the eye is also a good base for the shadow to stick to. If the shadow is kinda cheap, It will have more of tendency to start flaking on you midday try the damp brush if that doesn't work you may have to invest in a better shadow like MAC or Urban Decay.
