Question about Bare Escentuals Mineral makeup?

for my bare escentuals make up? The bare escentuals handy buki brush is waaay too expensive.
The guy at my drugstore who gave me awesome tips, told me I could use any kabuki brush for this mineral make up?
ive read all kinds of mixed reviews on mineral makeup...not sure if ur looking into other things i use dinair airbrush makeup and i LOVE it...it stays on all day, covers all my imperfections and makes my skin look flawless, never gets cakey, and is all water based so its not bad for my skin..anywho..hope i helped...=)
Is there an alternative to the BM Handy Buki Brush?
I think the bristles are nicely packed and everything but I find them way to hard on my skin.
does anybody know a bursh that does the same trick (ie same density of bristles) which is softer?
