With or without makeup, you need to keep your lips kissable, and you cannot do that if you can't treat them well. It is an essential step in order to wear lipstick in the best way possible. It is a sensitive area, which is exposed to all the external damaging factors with or without our will. So here's how you can keep them soft and healthy.
Keep Your lips Healthy
First of all, you should keep yourself hydrated. Once your body starts getting dry, your lips will show the signs first, getting dry and cracked. This will not only hurt, but make an unpleasant look and an impossible way to wear lipstick. So make sure you provide all the vitamins your body needs and hydrate by drinking plenty of water.
Exfoliate once in a while, to remove the impurities left and all the dead skin cells. This will also stimulate blood circulation and cell regeneration that will rejuvenate your lips. The most simple way to do it, is to use your toothbrush after washing your lips. If your lips are cracked or dry, make it as gentle as possible.
Also, there are a couple of homemade lip scrubs that work well, specially because they are 100% natural.
Protect your Lips
There are a couple of factors you should protect your lips from, so that you can avoid any damages.
First of all, you should stop liking your lips. This will only make them dry even faster and finally crack. Use a lip balm instead to soften and nourish them.
Stay away from extreme weather conditions. Chilly weather, wind and sun exposure will all damage your lips. Make sure you protect them with lip balm, one that also provides UV protection.
For the best result, keep treating and protecting your lips. Use lip balm as a lipstick base and nourish them as often as possible. Moisturizing your lips is the best way to maintain their healthy appearance. This is the basic step to apply your lipstick and enjoy the best look without being concerned of getting creasing lipstick. Also, if you don't wear lipstick, it is the best way to keep a soft and kissable look, and emphasize them with a touch of tinted lip balm.

Does anyone know of a good lip balm, tint and blush in one?
I know that Jemma Kidd does one but I was just wondering if there were any other good ones out there. Preferably not too expensive.
Benetint by Benefit. You can find it at Sephora and department stores where Benefit is sold. You could probably try Macy's. 28$.
