How to Apply Foundation Makeup
Application of foundation is not as hard as you think. the hardest part about applying foundation is choosing a foundation that is right for you. Most companies have a wide selection of foundation colors ranging from fair to ebony. Once you've chosen a foundation, the hard part is over.
Mineral makeup offers adjustable coverage, and women really love being able to use as much or as little as they want. Using the right tools is paramount when learning how to apply foundation makeup. The Kabuki brush provides the face with a flawless finish in a matter of a few minutes and it is used primarily to apply the mineral makeup foundation.
Laying foundation on the face is an area where most women have difficulties. Foundation is the base of applying make up. Makeup would not be complete without applying foundation first. If you are applying to the under eye area, you want to conceal before applying your foundation. Because you are using concealer a shade lighter than your foundation in this area in order to brighten the eyes and highlight them, it can be a little too obvious and too bright if applied over the foundation.
Mineral pigments can give your skin a healthy glow that looks natural and, unlike traditional makeup, adheres to your skin all day without the need for touch ups, even if you perspire or go in the water. Mineral makeup blushers are used primarily to give the cheeks color, whereas mineral bronzers can be applied anywhere on the face and body that would normally develop color from being in the sun.
If you would like to achieve a more dramatic nighttime look, use three shades of color. Start with the technique for daytime application, and then add a third, darker shade to the crease and outer eye. Foiling, described below, can help intensify your look.
Use a good moisturiser. Apply a foundation that is light in texture and has a sheen, rather than a matte, heavy one. Young people don't cake their skin in make-up, so lighter, illuminated skin is more youthful. Use a cream blusher and try to recreate the flushed look of youth. Use a cream eyeshadow, like the Shu Uemura or Estee Lauder versions.
Bronzers today, create a more natural glow and, contrary to popular belief, are not only for darker skin tones and can be worn year round. They mimic the warm golden cast of the sun. Some of the benefits of using a facial bronzer include attaining a tan-like look without the harmful effects (wrinkles, sunspots, sunburn and skin cancer) of the sun.
Aside from this, using the right shade of blush depends on the time of day and the color of your clothes. For example, it would not do to be wearing orange blush when you are wearing a fuchsia colored blouse! A light pink blush will also not do anything for your face if you are going to have an evening out, since it would hardly be seen.

Best foundation for super-fair skin?
I'm looking for a good foundation for really fair skin. Black women have a hard time finding foundations...take heart that the I'm-ready-to-try-theatre-makeup-for-vampires crowd is right behind you. I'm not really interested in Bare Minerals...sounds great but too complicated.
