Should I try Mineral Makeup? Does it have enough coverage?

I usually wear Clinique foundation and powder and Mac shadows and blushes but hear so many wonderful things about mineral makeup but havent got the first clue about it except that it all loose powder. I am not one of those who hates makeup....so I am not going for the barely there look necessarily.

Will the foundation have enough coverage for my fair blemished skin?

Why are their so many layers? finishing, veils, etc

Is there a special technique to applying it? I have heard you need special brushes etc

Will it brush off on your clothes and does it last all day?

As a professional makeup artist, I prefer to use mineral makeup, specifically KmS Mineral Essentials. It is so much better for your skin than the Mac products.

Mineral makeup is build-able, so you apply as much as you need to achieve the coverage you are looking for. The mineral veil is used to control any shine or excess oil if there is any. It also gives you more of a flawless airbrushed finish. I get the best coverage while using a mineral application or flat brush. You put a small amount in the lid of the product, swirl your brush in it, tap of excess, and apply in circular motions all around your face. I usually spend more attention with the product around areas that contain blemishes, or uneven skin discolorations. I also get better coverage while using a concealer underneath.

As long as you are using a pure mineral cosmetic such as kms, it should last all day. Like any makeup, it will rub off on clothing if enough pressure is applied. Kms lasts all day and beyond. I would not have believed it if I didn't experience it daily.
