Pencil Lip Liner
can you suggest?
am dark and i hate white powder. i prefer using compact powder or foundation to cover ma pimples. i also use dark eye pencil and lip liner. my aunt suggests i should use white powder and brown eye and lip liner. can u give me a better suggestion with reasons? 10ks
hi sweetie! usually, women with tan/dark skin are better off using yellow-based colors on their skin. gold tones would also look nice. If you have dark circles under or over or around your eyes, don't use a white or pinkish concealer, use a yellow-hued one to complement your skin. A brown eye pencil would also work wonders because a black one might draw too much attention to your eyes. For your eyeshadow, use brown/beige/gold colored ones..Orange-based colors may also look good on you. For your cheeks, a blush on the warm orange side would be best. If you have thin lips, go for shimmery, light-colored lipsticks. If your puckers are full, choose a matte lipstick on the darker shade (you may also want to go a little slow on the lip gloss is your lips are full). I think wine colored ones would look real good on you. When applying makeup, always remember, less is more. Good luck to you! *smiles*

What are your favorite lip liner pencil(s)?
Only occasionally. I haven't really gotten much into lipstick and liner in general, because I still think I look weird with any color on my lips (aside from some sheer pink gloss). I do own two lip pencils (by NYX cause they were cheap), and I do notice that it helps the gloss not to travel. They're in very neutral/nude colors, so you don't see them from under the gloss.
I guess I can see their purpose, but I'm not totally on board with them yet.
