Tips On Using Makeup To Cover Up Rosacea
Rosacea is defined as a persistent skin ailment that commonly affects people who have fair complexion, usually Caucasians. Its key attribute is the reddening in the central patch of the face area particularly in the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin, inflammation of the affected area accompanied with spread of papules and pustules, persistent and noticeable flushing, and visible lines of veins along the face. To begin with, cleanse and moisturize the face using mild products. Avoid using rough, coarse materials onto the skin because they may cause irritations. Also, it is better to use less products as you possibly can to reduce the exposure on the skin to potential irritants. In addition, in case you are undecided about this product that you will use, test it on your own arms or neck first before applying it on your face.
Using a green-tinted base is ideal for those who have rosacea as it might help correct the skin redness and even out complexion. For concealers and foundation, choose those that are oil-free especially if you experience a growth of papules and pustules. The foundation should also match the person's natural complexion and the concealer should be one shade lighter. Blushers are optional since people who have rosacea already have lots of color on their skin, even though there are mineral powder blushers available if using this is a must. There are mineral powder eye shadow that is recommended should you have rosacea with eye involvement. Finally for your lips, select people with neutral shade close to the natural lip color so as not to point out the redness on the skin.
